Child Welfare Stellenbosch Stationery Project

The 2011 Progress in International Reading Literature Study (Pirls) indicated that most South African grade five learners have not yet acquired basic literacy skills. This, together with a recent World Economic Forum Report in which South Africa ranked second last for its maths and science education, paints a bleak picture for the future of our country.

Child Welfare Stellenbosch supports 4 crèches in and around the Stellenbosch area. Tenk Loubser Incorporated (Somerset West office) in association with the Child Welfare, have launched this project from which the funds will be utilised exclusively to acquire and distribute much needed stationery to the various crèches.

Your contribution, big or small, WILL make a difference not only to a child’s development, but to the sustainability of our beautiful country.

A donation certificate for the purpose of Section 18 A of the Income Tax Act 1962 will be issued on request.
