Descriptions:

  1. Support the CRM with the day to day management of the clientbook
  • Help the CRM to maintain existing clientrelationships
  • Assist in preparing and presenting to prospective clients
  • Perform portfolio reviews of potential clients’ existing portfolios, focusing on identifying strengths and weaknesses of the portfolio as well as recommendations for improvement
  • Assist the CRM in managing clients’ investment portfolios
  • Treasury – coordinate payments and deposits, recording payments in the monitoring system
  • Periodically review whether clientcircumstances have change and if portfolios require review
  1. Aspire to taking on responsibility for a portion of the clientbook
  • You are working towards inheriting a book of clients
  1. Responding to clientqueries
  • Timely, professional and accurate response to clientqueries and requests
  • Ensure any necessary documentation is in place – meeting notes
  1. Portfolio modelling and implementation of clients investment strategy
  • Accurate and timely portfolio modelling and order building – including constructing and implementing model changes across the wider clientbook
  • Ongoing monitoring of clientportfolios ‐ Preparing and implementing investment recommendations
  • Post trade monitoring. To ensure transactions have been implemented accurately
  1. Responsible for communication and dispatch of periodic reporting to clients
  • Organisation of clientmeetings, coordinating with the parties involved
  • Prepare documents for clientmeetings; preparation of meeting packs, including but not limited to portfolio performance report, market and portfolio commentary, notes on current events domestically and abroad etc
  • Contribute in clientmeetings, with the idea to soon start leading client meetings Monthly and quarterly preparation and checking of client valuations and the distribution of client reports
  • Perform quality checks and checking for completeness reviews; reconciliation and auditing of performance data
  1. Investment analysis and research
  • On occasion, provide a high level analysis on investment opportunities for clients
  • Continuous development of macro-economic and finance knowledge
  • Ability to effectively communicate latest Stonehage Fleming investment views and remaining up to date with current domestic and global market/economic situation
  1. Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure annual compliance reviews takes place
  • Ensure that clientfiles are properly set‐up and maintained electronically
  • Ensure clients adhere to approved fund manager list, asset allocation targets & limits
  • Maintain record of clientadvice
  • Complete necessary regulatory representative examinations
  1. Promote and develop robust Operating Procedures across the business
  • You are responsible for adhering to the operating procedures of the business as written and of providing enhancements and changes to the procedures as and when identified. It is essential that any such changes are properly documented immediately
  1. Supplementary
  • You are encouraged to engage with other parts of the business as much as possible, developing strong working relationships with your family office colleagues
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of any new systems, working to ensure that all Client Relationship requirements of the new system are met.

Qualifications:

  • Business, Economics or Investment related degree, preferably with Honours
  • CFA Charterholder (or studying towards)
  • 5-8 years relevant experience in the finance / investment industry
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
  • Comfortable and willing to take on increasing levels of responsibility
  • Honesty and integrity
  • MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills: Schedules & manages workload effectively, thinks ahead, sets plans to achieve goals.
  • Leadership, self-motivation, positive attitude: Ability to take leadership/ownership when required and to solve problems constructively with a consistent positive attitude.
  • Teamwork: Supports & works towards team goals, shares information, is helpful & co‐operative, works effectively with people outside immediate team and within the wider group
  • Communication skills: Communicates clearly and concisely, listen effectively, written communication is well presented. Ability to communicate technical concepts in understandable language.
  • Clientorientated: Understands and satisfies client needs at all times, takes full responsibility & accountability for all client matters including delegated tasks, is able to work with a sophisticated client
  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrates required technical investment knowledge and keeps technical knowledge up to date.
  • Problem solving & Decision making: Considers the wider consequences of each decision, gathers and analyses information to find creative solutions. The skill of solving new and various problems will be critical.
  • Research & analysis Skills: Displays analytical, objective & thorough approach to information gathering, considers & questions all scenarios & identifies the most important factors, presents analysis in a clear manner reaching logical conclusions.
