Cost Controller

Job Description:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in cost and management accounting, including analysis and reporting.
  • A BCom degree or equivalent is preferred, and progress towards a CIMA qualification would be advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in ERP systems and BOM. Familiarity with business intelligence software would be beneficial.
  • Experience in a FMCG or production environment is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and departments.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of accuracy and a meticulous work ethic.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English.

Qualifications:

  • Product costing and tooling inventory reporting and maintenance – compare actual costs with estimates and analyse any variances.
  • Prepare cost estimates/quotes for new products, customers and product changes.
  • Update BOMs as necessary.
  • Assist with stock counts.
  • Load cost estimates/quotes into relevant systems.
  • Assist with reconciliations/schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records for old and new product costings.
  • Manage inventory and product records.
  • Provide audit information on a continuous basis.
