Financial Manager

Job Description: 

  • The incumbent will take responsibility for the full financial function for 19 entities.
  • Management of accounting team of 5 employees consisting of Accountant, 2 creditors clerks, office clerk and the HR Practitioner.
  • Board and Stakeholder reports
  • Monthly Management Statements, and involvement and supervising of accounting team processing.
  • Payroll system set-up, review and supervising of processing
  • Preparation and submission of EMP201, EMP501, IRP5’s, ETI’s
  • Preparation, submission and reconciliation of VAT
  • SARS eFiling and SARS Easyfile
  • Construction Guarantees
  • Handling of insurance.
  • Liaising with SARS, Bank, Auditors and Information Technology providers
  • Audit file preparation
  • BEE scorecard involvement
  • Company Secretarial Duties

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum educational level – SAIPA or CIMA qualification or CIBA registered
  • Experience – minimum 10 -15 years.
  • Tax Practitioner registration or experience in the role of tax practitioner.
  • Experience in accounting in the Construction and Property Development industry will be advantageous.
  • Experience/knowledge of the BuildSmart computer package will be an added advantage.
