Job Description:
- Oversee the overall financial management of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Manage and lead a team of 5 finance professionals, including providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support business objectives.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate working capital to support operational needs.
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior management for decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation of tax filings, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and optimizing tax strategies.
- Manage internal controls to prevent fraud, ensure compliance, and safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with overall business strategies.
- Assist in financial audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
- Implement and improve financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Review and approve financial transactions, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA not required).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Experience managing and mentoring a team.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Previous experience in the fruit or agriculture industry is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and financial compliance standards.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
