Key Account Manager

Job Description: 

  • Support Commercial team with the development and implementation of marketing plans and procurement strategies
  • Involved in managing fruit export programs – meet customer expectations and requirements
  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship with growers and clients
  • Actively involved in harvest season – visiting pack houses, quality checks, identify markets local/international, identify any risk areas etc.
  • Stock and Debtor Management
  • Price file – Update price list on regular basis
  • Fruit export programs – receiving fruit export program from client and allocation of orders according to pack house estimates received
  • Client liaison – regular updates on volumes packed versus program
  • Grower payment administration
  • Assist quality department with claims – local and “on arrival”
  • Support logistics department
  • Reporting and general administration


  • Relevant qualification with at least 5 years’ experience in fresh fruit exports
  • Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
