Project Coordinator

  • Assist with compiling and updating of project plans and other project information and documentation
  • Collaborating with project teams and other departments to track and execute project plans, and the lower-level tasks
  • Help monitor progress, budget and hours and raise flags in agreed way, using agreed tools
  • Frequently communicating the status and other related project information
  • Setting-up and maintaining regular project forums/meetings and taking minutes and action notes
  • Coordinating project transition to analysis, design, development, testing, training and rollout
  • Tracking the progress and quality of work being performed by the project team
  • Using project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans
  • Help the team to keep a project within the defined scope and objectives
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests
  • Administrative tasks as required by above
  • Quality assurance of deliverables produced
  • Ensure that the best practice processes and standards are followed
  • Resolve all customer queries efficiently, and within agreed timelines

  • Work well with others – reporting to a manager; working with peers & also cross-departmental coworkers
  • Experience liaising and communicating with third parties and suppliers
  • Professionalism in communication skills via email, telephone & virtual meetings
  • Strong admin skills with daily project tracking to report back to clients as & when when required
  • Systems capability, and basic Excel and Word
  • General Excel knowledge of basic formulae & Vlookups – beneficial but not essential
  • Able to manage themselves, have excellent time management abilities and remain task output orientated
  • Time management & punctuality – timeous report backs on current projects; attendance to meetings
  • Diligence – ability to self manage a project to reach targets / deadlines
  • Problem-solving mindset and approach
  • Ability to resolve conflicts, escalations or any unforeseen risks that threaten the delivery of a project
  • Attention to detail, goal orientated and a willingness to learn and be hands-on
  • Ability to adapt to last minute requests in a fast-paced industry (ability to cope under stress)
  • Fluent in Afrikaans & English
