Senior Accountant (Admin Officer)

Job Description: 

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform financial statements preparations up to the trial balance.
  • Financial Transactions and Reporting:
  • Record, file, and report all financial transactions in a timely manner.
  • Compile management reports as requested, adhering to specified formats.
  • Effectively manage relationships with suppliers and debtors.
  • Subscription Billing Management:
  • Oversee subscription billing management processes.
  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Apply relevant knowledge of SAAS business metrics to evaluate and report on the performance of the business. This includes but is not limited to metrics such as Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Churn Rate, and Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).
  • Manage end-to-end payroll administration, including employee-related payments.
  • Monitor cost allocations within various functions and departments.
  • Complete and file statutory returns, including VAT, PAYE, etc.
  • Assist with the compilation of statutory accounts.
  • Assist with the financial audit process, liaising with auditors and tax compliance professionals.
  • Administer corporate secretarial work, liaising with legal and advisory resources.
  • Stay up to date with accounting changes with IFRIS.
  • Research technical accounting and reporting issues, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Collaborate on system improvements and changes in the Finance and HR function.
  • Assist in the upcoming SAAS billing implementation.
  • Act as the executive assistant to the MD, providing administrative support as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior accounting or office management role.
  • Familiarity with start-up environments and the ability to adapt to change.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Experience in payroll administration and HR functions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
