Communication Liaison

Job Description: 

  • External Communication Liaison
  • Act as the primary contact for external stakeholders (Pharma & Trade), including service providers, members, vendors, and the media.
  • Coordinate communication efforts with media outlets, including press releases, public statements, and event coordination.
  • Assist in developing strategies for external communication, including social media, newsletters, and public relations campaigns including campaigns around primary healthcare calendar tentpoles.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key external parties, responding promptly to inquiries and requests for information.
  • Internal Communication
  • The drafting of all formal communication applying the nuance of healthcare.
  • Ensure the company’s marketing initiatives are communicated effectively to employees to build awareness, engagement, and alignment.
  • Assist in the development of internal newsletters, memos, or emails that highlight key marketing projects, product updates, or company-wide campaigns.
  • Brand Representation & Public Relations
  • Ensure consistent and clear communication of the organization’s brand and messaging across all platforms.
  • Represent the organization at public events, meetings, and conferences as required.
  • Handle inquiries from external sources, ensuring the organization’s image is positively represented and managed.
  • Brand re-evaluation with associated strategies including formal documents such as Guidelines and Annual Congress as flagship Brand event.
  • Crisis Communication
  • Assist in the development of crisis communication strategies to manage unforeseen situations that may affect the organisation’s reputation.
  • Support senior management in handling sensitive communication matters, ensuring transparency and clarity while safeguarding the organisation’s image.
  • Content Creation & Review
  • Develop content for internal and external communication materials, such as newsletters, brochures, websites, and press releases.
  • Review and edit communication content from various departments to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency with the organization’s tone and policies.
  • Communication Strategy & Planning
  • Assist in the creation and execution of a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with the organization’s objectives and values.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of communication campaigns, making recommendations for improvements based on feedback and analytics.
  • Event Coordination & Public Engagement
  • Coordinate and manage events, conferences, webinars, and other external engagement opportunities.
  • Assist Branches and SIGs to run academic events through our internal Database platform providing a 360 approach to event design.
  • Ensure that communication during these events is seamless and aligned with the organisation’s key messaging.
  • Manage the Transformation Inclusivity Diversity and Equity procedure closely aligned to the booking of events in the official calendar and manage the associated advertising policy accordingly.
  • Reporting & Analytics
  • Monitor communication channels and gather feedback to assess how effectively the organisation’s message is being received.
  • Provide regular reports on communication activities and results, offering insights into areas for improvement.

Qualifications: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and interact effectively with people at all levels.
  • Proficient in social media management and content creation.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to suggest new ways to communicate effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with public relations, media relations, and crisis management is a plus.
  • Knowledge of communication strategies and tools.
