Job Description: 

  • Ensure Debit order, stop orders and persal collections are executed according to the scheduled dates
  • Prepare the documentation for the authorization of the runs
  • Submit the run’s (files) to the various third parties according to the process with the SLA
  • Work closely with the Client services, relationship management and policy holder maintenance teams to ensure that all additions, amendments and resignation are done before executing the runs.
  • Upload all EFT’s received and process all POP’s received for EFT’s
  • Upload all rejections for Debit orders, Stop orders and persal.
  • Ensure communication for the rejections and unpaid EFT’s are distributed to policyholders and brokers
  • Ensure where 2nd rejection failed lapsed communication must be distributed and the policy holder’s policy should be lapsed
  • Process premium refunds
  • Process re-instatement for payments received
  • Process Policy reconciliation requests
  • Reconcile payments received with invoices.
  • Quality check work processed, documentation and correspondence generated.
  • Management of suspense (unallocated) account
  • Authorisation of banking detail amendments for policy holders / payers
  • Collate and analyze account data and generate financial reports
  • Assist with finance queries received from various teams where information not available
  • SLA’s in place to be adhered too
  • Weekly & Monthly reporting
  • CRM (Freshdesk) compulsory to be utilized as we measure SLA’s and client communication via this
  • Be backup for the bookkeeper
  • Other duties as assigned by the financial manager

Qualifications: 

  • Matric with mathematics or accounting
  • Relevant Diploma or equivalent NQF level
  • 3 years premium management experience within an insurance or financial services environment
