Underwriting Administrator (Short Term Insurance)

Job Description: 

  • Policy administration (receive, check, refer, ad hoc duties, off-platform renewal processes)
  • Policy administration/negotiation in relation to commercial and personal lines policies.
  • General inquiries and office administration
  • Handling of business report (policy screenings, cancellations, new business)
  • Management of personnel

Qualifications: 

  • Grade 12 with at least 5 years of experience in short term insurance (preferably in underwriting)
  • Experience in personal and commercial lines.
  • RE5
  • CPD must be up to date
  • Must have full FSCA accreditation
  • The ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills in both Afrikaans and English (both verbal and written)
  • The ability to work under pressure
