Job Description: 

• Oversee Wheat Cleaning, Conditioning, and Milling operations to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage and supervise milling staff, including shift planning and scheduling.
• Optimize extraction rates, product quality, and production volume through effective process control.
• Conduct machine adjustments and calibrations to maintain consistent milling performance.
• Oversee routine maintenance activities and ensure timely completion.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures, including product testing and analysis.
• Plan and execute production schedules in alignment with operational goals.
• Manage wheat gristing operations to meet production requirements.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and protocols.
• Provide leadership in handling machine breakdowns and organizing repairs.
• Facilitate ongoing staff training to ensure a highly skilled workforce.

Qualifications: 

• SAGMA/GMF Wheat Milling Qualification (Certified Wheat Miller).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a milling role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Additional tertiary qualifications are advantageous.
• A technical background will be an added advantage.
