Pruning Manager

Job Description: 

• Develop and manage pruning methodologies as a central strategy for optimal production volumes, yields, export pack outs and revenue.
• Right pruning approach, practices, at the right time, of desired fruit sizes, improved fruit colour, quality and better rind quality.
• Assessment, data collection followed by corrective action and application of best practices

Qualifications: 

• Senior certificate
• Relevant tertiary qualification
• At least 5 years with a proven track record
• Agronomic principles, specialized focus on pruning methodologies
• Management and implementation of value adding, effective pruning strategies, industry best practices, pruning methodologies and factors.
• High level of understanding the purpose and timing of pruning Citrus.
• How to develop and manage pruning methodologies as a central strategy for optimal production volumes, yields, export pack outs and revenue.
• Identify and follow the right pruning approach, practices, at the right time, of desired fruit sizes, improved fruit colour and quality and better rind quality.
