Job Description:

Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings from concept designing, rendering, detail designing to compilation of complete 3D manufacturing drawings for each design.
Interpret client requirements and translate design concepts into production-ready drawings.
Work closely with the Design and Production Teams to ensure technical feasibility and manufacturability.
Update and maintain the drawing register and documentation control systems.
Revise and rework existing designs based on client or production feedback.
Provide technical support during the production process.
Conduct site measurements or assist with prototyping when required.
Liaise with suppliers regarding component specifications and materials when necessary.
Research and design of new concepts or products.
Product development of current products.
Technical support to the sales and manufacturing teams.
Cost estimations of old and new designs.
Comparisons of estimated versus actual costs upon the completion of a project.
All other tasks related to the position.

Qualifications:

Relevant technical qualification (e.g., Mechanical or Architectural Draughting Certificate/Diploma).
Proficiency in computer aided draughting software such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
Minimum 5 years of practical experience in a manufacturing or industrial design environment.
A solid understanding of steel structures, joinery, plumbing, 12V electrical installations, solar panels and mechanical components.
Excellent attention to detail and a naturally methodical mindset.
