Quantity Surveyor

Job Description:
- Attend meetings with professional teams (architects, engineers, contractors) on various property development projects.
- Prepare and review feasibility studies for upcoming projects.
- Conduct cost planning, cost estimation, and financial control of projects.
- Prepare and manage tender documents and assist with contractor procurement processes.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Provide guidance on procurement strategies and contract management.
- Assist with project valuations, assessments, and progress reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Provide support to the wider team in day-to-day operations of the company’s projects.
- Contribute to the overall development of the business through strategic input and support.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience in quantity surveying.
- Preferably accredited degree, diploma, or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- Proven practical work experience, including experience in property development projects.
- Ability to pass the professional ability test for registration with the South African Council for Quantity Surveyors (SACQS).
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, budgeting, and project cost management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration and client interactions.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, flexible approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with various project management and quantity surveying software is a plus.
