Training & Product Support Specialist

Job Description: 

  • Training and Coordination
  •  Coordinate, manage and conduct training for employees, our dealership network and end customers.
  • The required training programs, events and plans may consist of the following subjects:
    • Technical training
    • Product based training
    • Sales and customer service training
    • Workshop and Engineering training
    • Spare Parts and Maintenance training
    • Administrative and Business Processes training
  • Coordination of training includes, but is not limited to:
    • Marrying the training calendar to the marketing master plan and planning themes events and classes in advance
    • Communication of training programs with delegates, both internal and external to the company
    • Directly performing technical and expert training
    • Sourcing and Scheduling training providers, experts and professionals. You will have access to in-house experts and professionals across the company’s departments as well as external training providers and resources
    • Handling of all arrangements for training sessions and seminars such as: invitations, confirmations, attendees, venues, locations, refreshments, equipment, products, machines and presentations and course materials
  • Product Support
  • Gathering of market intelligence in terms of trends on farming practices, machines, technology and farmers requirements. As well as reporting back this information to management.
  • Assisting the sales team with technical specifications and configurations on quotes and orders when required.
  • During peak planting seasons: Assist and support farmer-customers with setup and configuration of planters and seeders.
  • Actively participate in product testing and development alongside your teammates.
  • Administrative and General
  • Maintenance of training registers and records.
  • Assistance with the updating of and development of parts manuals and brochures.
  • Assistance with annual training planning on a national level.

Qualifications: 

  • A Technical Engineering Qualification, preferably mechanical.
  • 10 to 15 Years Experience in the Agricultural Mechanisation Industry.
  • Knowledge of various farming practices, techniques and equipment.
  • Experience with precision agricultural systems would be advantageous.
  • Willing to travel extensively for work within RSA and occasionally the rest of the world.
  • Great communication skills and comfortable speaking in front of people.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Great organisational skills and high levels of administrative efficiency.
  • High levels of self-discipline, must be able to work without supervision and have the ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Be able to speak and write both Afrikaans and English fluently.
