Job Description:
- Perform welding tasks to join metal parts or repair damaged components.
- Operate various welding equipment and tools, including MIG, TIG, and arc welders.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements.
- Prepare workpieces by cleaning, aligning, and clamping them to ensure precise welds.
- Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and use protective gear to prevent injury and accidents.
- Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS) preferred.
- Proven experience in welding, including familiarity with MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Good understanding of safety procedures and best practices in welding.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and equipment.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot welding issues.
