  • Chairing disciplinary hearings 
  • Participating and guiding disciplinary processes 
  • Ensure discipline is applied consistently and fairly 
  • HR representative at the NBCRFLI, CCMA, etc. 
  • Engaging with staff and trade unions on IR and employee related issues 
  • Employee relations – implementation of company policies 
  • Providing IR support in operations department 
  • Conduct performance counselling processes 
  • Promote employee engagement 
  • Handling and resolving IR related enquiries 
  • Monitor compliance to company policies and procedures 
  • Participate in HR and ad hoc projects 
  • Driver/Employee complaints and grievances 
  • Manage employee performance and upskilling (Monthly and quarterly) 
  • BEE, Skills development, and Employment Equity management 
  • Recruitment (Interviews and forecasting) 
  • HR Audit preparations (Internal and External) 
  • Compliant with Occupational health and safety act (Measures in place) 
  • Compliant with Compensation for occupational injuries and diseases act (Measures in place) 
  • Payroll administration 


  • Grade 12 / Matric 
  • Relevant Tertiary Diploma / Degree in Human Resources 
  • B. Degree in HR, Industrial Psychology 
  • 3 – 5 Years’ experience in Logistics / Transportation environment 
  • Registration as an IR Specialist Practitioner with SABPP will be an added advantage 
  • Able to deal effectively with all levels of staff incl senior management 
  • Experience working with trade unions 
  • Experience with Conciliations and Arbitrations 
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills 
  • Good conflict handling skills 
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email/Internet) 
  • Passion for dispute resolution 
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills 
  • Valid Code 08 driver’s license / own reliable vehicle
