Data Science & BI Team Lead

Description:

• You will be responsible for the CRM and its setup
• Coordinating the integration of various software systems
• Working with teams across business units and countries to enable data-based solutions to improve business processes.

Qualifications:

• Degree in an appropriate field of study: Engineering/ Computer Science/ Actuarial
• 5+ years of experience in data / analytics / data science
• 2+ years of experience in managing a team
• Experience with CRM software (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)
• Advanced understanding of BI and analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, GA)
• Familiar with data science tools and programming languages (e.g. R, Python)
• Solid knowledge of data pipelines and data integrations
• Proven record of building a data strategy and subsequent project execution, including data science and AI applications
• Experience influencing and partnering with stakeholders across organizations and working in a multi-functional team
• Ability to identify and communicate value-adding and data-driven insights to influence marketing, Ecommerce, and wider business decisions
• Exposure to POPIA and its implementation across a business
• Experience in Hospitality and/or Ecommerce a plus
• Must be able to take initiative and be creative
• Fluency in Afrikaans and English
