IT/Server and Security Administrator

Job Description:
- Monitor backup jobs, identify failures, and implement corrective actions.
- Perform regular backup tests and recovery drills to ensure data can be restored efficiently.
- Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving any issues or vulnerabilities.
- Set up and manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring proper access control.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates and backups.
- Provide technical support to end-users, responding to inquiries and troubleshooting issues in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement IT solutions and strategies.
- Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for reference and training purposes.
- Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, such as system migrations or upgrades.
- Provide training and support to users on IT systems and applications as needed.
- Willingness to learn and understand our ERP and systems and applications
Qualifications:
- Microsoft or Comptia certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Comptia Server +)
- Proven experience working in an IT support role, preferably in a corporate environment
- Experience with networking (routers, firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN)
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking protocols, and software applications.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and providing solutions.
- Experience Microsoft Exchange
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with users of varying technical abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
