IT/Server and Security Administrator

Job Description: 

  • Monitor backup jobs, identify failures, and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform regular backup tests and recovery drills to ensure data can be restored efficiently.
  • Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving any issues or vulnerabilities.
  • Set up and manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring proper access control.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates and backups.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, responding to inquiries and troubleshooting issues in a timely manner.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to develop and implement IT solutions and strategies.
  • Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for reference and training purposes.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, such as system migrations or upgrades.
  • Provide training and support to users on IT systems and applications as needed.
  • Willingness to learn and understand our ERP and systems and applications 

Qualifications: 

  • Microsoft or Comptia certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Comptia Server +)
  • Proven experience working in an IT support role, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Experience with networking (routers, firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN)
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking protocols, and software applications.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and providing solutions.
  • Experience Microsoft Exchange
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with users of varying technical abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
