IT Support Engineer

Job Description: 

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Provide technical assistance for desktop and server infrastructure, software installations, and hosting environment setups.
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Active Directory environments, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
  • Utilise advanced knowledge of LAN/VLAN/VPN/Wireless/VOIP/WAN and Firewall technologies to support network infrastructure.
  • Oversee internet connectivity platforms and solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Administer Microsoft servers and desktop environments, including Microsoft Office 365.
  • Implement virtualization technologies such as VMware and perform physical infrastructure upgrades.
  • Optimize performance and plan capacity for virtualized environments.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in networking fundamentals and hands-on experience with Microsoft services and products (e.g., WSUS, MS SQL Server, IIS).
  • Manage SAN storage and backup environments, as well as antivirus software deployment.
  • Possess basic Linux knowledge and familiarity with ERP solutions and MS SQL.
  • Work with service desk platforms and contribute to their operation.
  • Have a basic understanding of API technologies and integrations.


  • Tertiary IT-related degree/diploma.
  • ITIL certification preferred.
  • A+ and N+ certifications.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT service delivery role.
  • Proven track record in supporting MS Azure environments, preferably certified.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPO.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware) and physical infrastructure upgrades.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Familiarity with SAN storage, backup environments, and antivirus software management.
  • Basic Linux knowledge.
  • Exposure to ERP systems and MS SQL advantageous.
  • Experience in service desk platform operation.
  • Understanding of API technologies and integrations.
