Support Developer

Job Description: 

  • Investigate and resolve software bugs reported by clients or internal teams
  • Analyze error logs, database records, and application behaviour to diagnose issues
  • Apply patches or small code changes to fix defects
  • Respond to client enquiries regarding software functionality and errors
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting guidance
  • Document common issues and solutions for future reference
  • Implement and test code changes for bug fixes and minor enhancements
  • Ensure that updates are properly deployed without disrupting operations
  • Collaborate with development teams on larger feature rollouts when needed
  • Identify whether an issue is caused by a system bug or user error
  • Guide users on proper system usage and best practices
  • Provide feedback to clients to reduce repeat errors and improve efficiency
  • Work with developers, QA teams, and business analysts to improve system stability
  • Document findings and contribute to internal knowledge bases
  • Suggest workflow optimizations to reduce common support issues
  • Take full responsibility for completing the required task in the given time
  • Produce good quality code and comment code properly

Qualifications: 

  • Capable of problem-solving independently
  • Good understanding of data integrity and security best practices
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • At least 3 – 5 years of relevant experience as a full stack software developer using technologies such as Delphi/ C# / SQL / RESTful Web API
  • Needs to have had exposure to the full software development lifecycle
  • A deep understanding of relational database concepts and proficiency in writing complex SQL queries
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Delivering on requirements on-time and to specification with a high level of quality
  • Ability to work calmly and methodically when under pressure
  • Must be a keen knowledge seeker who shares acquired knowledge across teams
