Brand Manager

Job Description: 

  • Implement strategic marketing plans to increase brand awareness
  • Support in driving sales through the various channels – work closely with members of the commercial team
  • Oversee our tasting room operations, including enhancing customer experience, staff supervision, inventory management, and event coordination.
  • Plan and participate in wine festivals, trade shows, and other industry events to promote our brand and engage with potential customers. Create a unique engagement between the customer and the brand with each interaction.
  • Work on partnerships with local organisations, events managers, and local businesses.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with distribution and third-party partners to drive sales and brand growth.
  • Create and do quality control on all elements of the marketing information and collateral especially product descriptions, tasting notes, videos, pictures etc.
  • Ensure all platforms of the company are always updated with the latest information.
  • Create and identify opportunities in digital marketing strategies and online sales, including social media campaigns, email marketing, and website updates.
  • Coordinate with creative agencies, designers, and other external partners with regards to Point of Sale material.
  • Monitor, analyse and provide Senior management with regular reports and insight re (not limited to):
    • Brand performance
    • Market insights
    • Competitors’ current promotions and advertisements
    • Trending brands
    • Emerging consumer behaviour
    • Consumption patterns
  • Assist with new product development where required.
  • Perform administrative functions, when necessary and deemed reasonable.

Qualifications: 

  • At least a tertiary marketing qualification
  • 3-5 years’ experience in similar position
  • Love for and knowledge of the wine industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans
  • Technically minded, attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative, financial and management skills
