Parts & Commodities Sales Representative

Job Description: 

  • Sales Representative main focus will be to grow the companies’ Agricultural Parts & Commodities Sales.
  • Build relationships with dealers in the area and understand customer service & product needs.
  • Managing and growing new and existing customers.
  • Effective and goal orientated customer visits to grow market share in the region.
  • Keep up to date with product knowledge and other training requirements.
  • Educate and train customers on the benefits of Agricultural Parts & Commodities.
  • Create a strong preference for Agricultural Parts & Commodities in the market.
  • Develop an annual sales plan for area of resposibility.
  • To provide timely and accurate feedback to dealers and Management and manage customer problems and concerns.
  • Responsible for all sales and administrational functions in the region.
  • Assist and advise customers on technical product information.
  • Prepare and execute farmers days, shows and exhibitions.


  • Relevant technical and sales qualification will be an advantage.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the Agricultural Mechanization Industry.
  • At least 5 years’ Sales experience and able to communicate on all levels.
  • Be able to speak and write both Afrikaans and English fluently and have excellent communication skills.
  • Parts & Commodity product Knowledge will be an advantage.
  • Self-driven individual that can work independently.
  • Business standard of computer literacy is required.
  • The internal drive to succeed, regardless of the obstacles.
  • A POSITIVE outlook on life and high levels of energy are required.
  • Must be able to do effective planning. Route and customer visits.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively and be away from home for some time.
  • Valid driver’s license. Code EB
