Job Description: 

  • Sales and Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the agricultural sector.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
  • Present and demonstrate products and services to potential clients.
  • Manage sales leads obtained from campaigns.
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agribusinesses, distributors, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage the business CRM System.
  • Market Analysis and Strategy
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide insights and feedback to the product development team to ensure offerings meet market demands.
  • Reporting and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and forecasts for management.
  • Managerial Tasks
  • Strategic sales planning
  • Team management for sales unit
  • Sales budgeting

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agribusiness, sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of sales experience, preferably in the agricultural sector.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Must be able to commute to Stellenbosch daily
