Job Description:
- Sales and Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the agricultural sector.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
- Present and demonstrate products and services to potential clients.
- Manage sales leads obtained from campaigns.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agribusinesses, distributors, and other stakeholders.
- Manage the business CRM System.
- Market Analysis and Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide insights and feedback to the product development team to ensure offerings meet market demands.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance and forecasts for management.
- Managerial Tasks
- Strategic sales planning
- Team management for sales unit
- Sales budgeting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agribusiness, sales, marketing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of sales experience, preferably in the agricultural sector.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Must be able to commute to Stellenbosch daily
