Job Description: 

• Act as the company’s central point of contact for Mechanisation related suppliers
• Develops and maintains sound supplier relationships with the Mechanisation suppliers
• Negotiates ad hoc purchase prices and term deals with suppliers
• Assesses supply and quality risks and evaluates supplier capacity and capability to ensure supplier selection supports the execution of the Category strategy
• In conjunction with the Category team, establishes seasonal demand and procurement plans.
• In conjunction with the Category team, establishes optimal stock assortments per branch
• Records and maintains accurate purchase price files in the ERP system
• Continuously screens the Category supply market to identify sourcing optimisation opportunities.
• Proactively identifies and communicates Category specific supply constraints to the business to be prepared for and to minimise supply disruptions.
• Participates in Category specific product development initiatives.
• Identifies and drives opportunities to rationalise products and to reduce complexity.

Qualifications: 

• Preference will be given to candidates with a relevant Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma/Trade
• Specialisation in Procurement & Data Analytics would be an advantage.
• +5 year experience in a Mechanisation environment
• Demonstrated negotiation skills
• Proficient in use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint)
• Advanced MS Office Excel Skills required
