Dry Goods Controller

Job Description: 

  • Receives stock according to purchase order checking accuracy of totals and specifications.
  • Accurate and well recorded return of goods to supplier and clients.
  • Identifies any potential QC issues and Stock Discrepancies and advises the Warehouse Controller accordingly.
  • All returnable materials during the process.
  • Dry Goods in (PO Listing): 3rd Party and OWS stock.
  • Dry Goods out (DG Return Note): Supplier returns , 3rd Party Collections.
  • Ensure shortfalls are given through to Procurement and Production.
  • Transfers Dry Goods to internal Sites
  • Creating of 3rd Party Purchase orders and receipts
  • Scan and email delivery notes to 3rd party clients
  • Print production schedule and issue to the rest of Dry Goods staff
  • Printing of Picking List and reconciling of discrepancies
  • Assist with Cycle Counts
  • Monitoring of Non-Conforming Area and informing relevant parties involved
  • Receives and checks picking list 24 hours in advance to drawing dry goods, to confirm availability of stock for production
  • Draws, collates and issues dry goods according to the picking list, 24 hours prior to bottling, ensuring correct quantity and that product/s is/are according to specifications
  • Transfer goods from the dry goods store to production
  • Counting of stock on a regular basis, to ensure physical stock reflects accurately on SAGE.
  • Conducts and controls a physical stock count of dry goods according to the stock taking procedures.
  • Ensures stock is neatly stacked and stored and adheres to quality and safety standards.
  • Ensures efficient stock rotation by utilising the FIFO stock system.
  • Assists with production stock reconciliations.
  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks and completion of Cleaning Registers according to company QMS. 

Qualifications: 

  • Matric/Grade 12.
  • At least 3 years’ stores experience in similar environment
  • Active participation in QMS implementation
  • Computer literacy – MS Office; Excel and Word, SAGE.
  • Time Management, Monitoring, Service Orientation, Good Judgement and Decision making
  • Stores and stock take procedures knowledge, Product knowledge
