Joshua Foundation launched
Willie Smith of Tenk Loubser (Cape Town) Inc attended the launch of the Joshua Foundation in October, and made a donation to a community project.
Founded by former Springbok and Stormers rugby players Eddie Andrews and Tonderai Chavhanga, the Joshua Foundation is committed to developing core values that builds a positive nation. It does this by using role models as mentors within the spheres of sport, the arts, business and academia. The Foundation endeavours to impart the principles of perseverance, hope, integrity, commitment and accountability as alternatives to the social ills disadvantaged youngsters face.
The Foundation currently works mainly in areas and at schools which are under-resourced, such as schools on the Cape Flats in the Western Cape. Plans are underway to expand its operations in 2010 to schools in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape.
For more information or to support the Foundation, contact Eddie Andrews at firstname.lastname@example.org.
