Group Accountant

Job Description:

• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and reports
• Reconcile bank and other financial accounts
• Compile management reports
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with VAT legislation and prepare VAT returns
• Perform internal audits and implement financial controls
• Prepare audit files for external auditors
• Compile ad hoc reports as required by management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional certification such as SAIPA
• Completed articles with minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software
