Job Description:

  • Strategic HR Management:
    • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned to company goals.
    • Contribute to organisational design and workforce planning.
  • Recruitment & Selection:
    • Oversee full recruitment cycle from job profiling to onboarding.
    • Working with relevant department heads to determine skills required.
    • Ensure compliance with EE targets and company diversity objectives
  • Employee Relations:
    • Advise management and staff on labour relations issues in line with the Labour Relations Act (LRA).
    • Manage disciplinary procedures, grievances, and conflict resolution.
    • Liaise with labour consultants.
    • Nurture a positive working environment, and drive positive company culture.
  • Performance & Talent Management:
    • Implement performance management systems.
    • Oversee succession planning and career development programmes.
    • Facilitate training and development in line with the Skills Development Act.
  • Compensation & Benefits:
    • Benchmark salaries to market standards.
    • Advise board of directors on relevant remuneration matters.
  • Compliance & Governance:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EE, OHSA, POPIA).
    • Prepare HR reports for ExCo and Board Committees.
  • HR Administration:
    • Maintain accurate HR records and systems.
    • Oversee HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, training hours, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Experience in a manufacturing or consumer goods business environment.
  • Proven track record of developing & implementing and improving HR plans and policies
  • Solid experience in employee relations and South African labour legislation
  • Knowledge of corporate responsibility and ethics.
  • Strong knowledge of SA labour legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Conflict management, mediation, and negotiation skills.
  • Computer literacy with Proficiency in MS Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.
