Junior Demand Planner

Job Description:
- Assist with demand forecasting and stock planning for selected product categories.
- Analyse sales data and trends to support forecast accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels across stores, warehouses, and online channels.
- Help maintain optimal stock levels and reduce stock shortages or overstocking.
- Identify slow-moving stock and assist with clearance actions.
- Support stock allocations for promotions, product launches, and seasonal ranges.
- Compile and update sales, stock, and performance reports.
- Track KPIs such as sales performance, stock cover, and product availability.
- Assist with monthly planning and review preparation.
- Work closely with Planning, Buying, Procurement, and Operations teams to support smooth execution of plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or currently studying toward a qualification in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1–2 years’ experience in retail, planning, procurement, or inventory-related roles.
- Basic understanding of retail and supply chain principles.
- Interest in FMCG or fresh food environments advantageous.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyse data and identify trends.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as Sage X3 or planning tools advantageous.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
