Supervisor Dry Goods

Job Description: 

• Supervise packing, storage, and handling of dry goods in the dry store.
• Oversee truck offloading and ensure efficient stock movement and workflow.
• Manage and coordinate daily tasks for stock pickers and team members.
• Assist with daily planning of stock picking for production and deliveries.
• Support planning of incoming stock and work-in-progress storage.
• Ensure FIFO stock rotation and accurate batch/lot identification.
• Maintain correct stock segregation, labelling, and storage standards.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
• Enforce housekeeping, waste reduction, and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety requirements.
• Train new staff on dry store processes and procedures.
• Control access to the dry store and enforce company policies.

Qualifications: 

• Previous experience in warehousing, dry goods, or production supervision (advantageous).
• Strong understanding of stock control and FIFO principles.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate a team.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling.
• Knowledge of food safety, quality, and health & safety standards.
• Ability to train and guide staff.
• Strong organisational and workflow management skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
