Senior Plant Engineer

Job Description:

  • Manage and oversee all plant engineering, maintenance, and workshop operations.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes for machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Lead and support mechanical and electrical maintenance teams to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and new installations.
  • Ensure the effective maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and production equipment.
  • Monitor plant efficiency and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, HACCP, and FSSC quality standards.
  • Develop and enforce engineering procedures, maintenance standards, and operational policies.
  • Manage departmental budgets, resources, and maintenance schedules.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance and engineering teams.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Qualification in Project Management will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in workshop management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in plant engineering and maintenance.
  • Experience with electrical systems and equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems will be advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Projects, and engineering software.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, HACCP, and FSSC standards.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
