Senior Plant Engineer

Job Description:

Manage and oversee all plant engineering, maintenance, and workshop operations.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes for machinery, equipment, and facilities.
Lead and support mechanical and electrical maintenance teams to ensure optimal plant performance.
Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and new installations.
Ensure the effective maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and production equipment.
Monitor plant efficiency and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with health and safety, HACCP, and FSSC quality standards.
Develop and enforce engineering procedures, maintenance standards, and operational policies.
Manage departmental budgets, resources, and maintenance schedules.
Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance and engineering teams.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
Qualification in Project Management will be advantageous.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in workshop management within a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in plant engineering and maintenance.
Experience with electrical systems and equipment maintenance.
Knowledge of PLC systems will be advantageous.
Proficient in MS Office, MS Projects, and engineering software.
Knowledge of Health & Safety, HACCP, and FSSC standards.
Strong leadership, planning, and project management skills.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
