Intermediate Software Developer

Job Description:

  • Develop and maintain automated production test software using Python and C#.
  • Translate Acceptance Test Specifications (ATS) into automated test procedures.
  • Integrate test software with equipment, instruments and production systems.
  • Design and maintain databases for test data storage, accuracy and traceability.
  • Verify product configurations against approved specifications.
  • Automate the generation of Acceptance Test Reports (ATRs).
  • Develop user-friendly interfaces for production test stations.
  • Integrate software with production, quality assurance and engineering systems.
  • Maintain software quality through testing, documentation and version control.
  • Troubleshoot test failures and provide technical support.

Qualifications:

  • BTech or BSc degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience developing PC software applications.
  • Strong proficiency in C# (.NET) and Python.
  • Experience designing and managing relational databases, such as MySQL.
  • Knowledge of software development practices, Git, testing and documentation.
  • Strong software architecture and user interface development skills.
  • Automated testing and manufacturing software experience advantageous.
  • Experience with instrument control and automation advantageous.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and technical test specifications advantageous.
  • RF, electronics, aerospace or space industry experience advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable and able to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • South African citizenship or valid work permit required.
