Job Description:

• Support partners in delivering audit and assurance engagements.
• Manage audits from planning through to completion.
• Manage engagement budgets, deadlines, project plans and staff allocation.
• Perform and review risk assessments and audit procedures.
• Review client information, internal controls and audit evidence.
• Review audit working papers and provide feedback to audit teams.
• Ensure compliance with auditing and accounting standards, legislation and ethical requirements.
• Manage client and team communication and keep partners updated on engagement progress.
• Ensure audit files are finalised accurately and on time.
• Lead, coach and mentor audit team members and trainees.
• Assist with proposals, tenders and identifying opportunities to add value to clients.

Qualifications:

• Completed SAICA training contract.
• CA(SA), AGA(SA) or equivalent advantageous.
• 1–3 years’ post-articles audit experience advantageous.
• Previous audit supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in a small to medium-sized audit firm beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs and International Standards on Auditing.
• Experience planning, executing and finalising audit engagements.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage teams, deadlines and multiple engagements.
• Strong communication, client relationship and leadership skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to audit quality.
• Proficient in CaseWare, Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport advantageous.
