Financial Accountant

Job Description:

• Manage and allocate operational costs across containers, producers, and service providers
• Capture, reconcile, and maintain financial data across systems (including cost tracking and reporting)
• Administer recovery costs and ensure accurate deductions and invoicing
• Oversee packaging material cost tracking, movements, and reconciliations
• Process weekly and monthly payments (producers, creditors, foreign payments)
• Maintain cash flow schedules and payment tracking records
• Support system usage, improvements, and implementation (finance systems)
• Assist with onboarding, training, and improving finance processes and controls
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and support month-end financial processes

Qualifications:

• Experience in a finance/accounting role, preferably in operational or logistics-linked environments
• Proficiency in Xero and advanced Microsoft Excel (essential)
• Experience with financial systems and cost tracking (advantageous)
• Understanding of cost allocation, reconciliations, and payment processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage deadlines
• Experience in agriculture/export or similar industries (advantageous
