Job Description:

• Financial & Accounting Duties
  • Perform and post monthly bank reconciliations
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Process month-end journals
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation
  • Reconcile tasting room daily cash-ups to bank
  • Calculate and process accurate sales commissions
• Statutory & Tax Compliance
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and VAT reconciliations
  • Complete and submit EMP201 returns
  • Handle payroll-related statutory submissions
  • Complete quarterly Stats SA financial questionnaires
  • Ensure timely and accurate submissions to SARS
• Stock Management
  • Conduct stock takes and process adjustments
  • Manage inter-location stock transfers (Cellar, Dispatch & Tasting Room)
  • Monitor stock accuracy on the system and resolve discrepancies
• Forex Administration
  • Capture incoming foreign funds details on NedTreasury
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation prior to review
• Administration & Support
  • Support and guide the finance team on accounting queries
  • Assist with BEE reporting and audit requirements
  • Prepare working papers for financial audits
  • Liaise with banking institutions on administrative matters
  • Assist with WineMS integration
  • Support weekly casual wage processing

Qualifications:

• Financial Accounting Diploma or BCom Degree
• SAIPA (Registered Professional Accountant) preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ general financial and administrative experience in a corporate financial environment
• Experience on Business Central will be advantageous
• Wine industry experience beneficial
• Excellent attention to detail
• Deadline-driven with strong reconciliation skills
