Long-Term Insurance & Investment Administrator

Job Description:

  • Administration of long-term insurance policies (life, disability, severe illness, income protection)
  • Administration and servicing of investment portfolios across major platforms
  • Administration and servicing of medical aid and gap cover policies
  • Management and processing of Employee Benefits (EB) schemes, including:
    • monthly contribution submissions
    • member updates
    • liaising with payroll departments and insurers
  • Processing of:
    • new business applications
    • policy amendments
    • withdrawals and switches
    • debit order changes
    • beneficiary updates
  • Liaising with insurers and platforms such as:
    • Old Mutual
    • Sanlam
    • Momentum
    • Discovery
    • Glacier / Allan Gray / similar investment platforms
  • Monitoring outstanding requirements and ensuring completion of new business
  • Supporting advisers with quotations and product information
  • Handling client servicing requests and queries
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with FAIS and FICA requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in a financial advisory practice or similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Long-term insurance products
    • Investment platforms
    • Employee Benefits administration
  • Experience dealing directly with insurers and investment providers
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Professional communication skills when dealing with clients and provider
