Treasury Analyst

Job Description:

  • Support the organisation’s Treasury and Asset & Liability Management (ALM) functions through accurate reporting, analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Prepare periodic reporting for shareholders, banks, institutional funders, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain funding dashboards and financial models covering liquidity and interest rate gap analysis.
  • Prepare and coordinate monthly Treasury Forum packs, including variance analysis of budget versus actual performance.
  • Assist with funding, liquidity, maturity, and rollover activities, as well as credit reviews with banks and rating agencies.
  • Ensure KYB compliance for financial institutions, including onboarding and recertification processes.
  • Assist with regulatory and internal policy compliance, audits, and various internal reporting requirements.
  • Support the preparation of ALCO packs, board presentations, investor information, and other stakeholder communications.
  • Maintain the Investor Relations website and ensure SENS announcements and relevant documentation are managed accurately.
  • Provide general analytical and administrative support across the ALM and Treasury function as required.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Honours degree or completion of 3-year SAICA articles.
  • 3–5 years’ relevant experience, preferably within financial services.
  • Previous experience in a corporate banking or treasury environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of banking compliance will be advantageous.
  • People management experience will be advantageous.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Adaptable, solution-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
