Job Description: 

  • Oversee the daily operations of vineyard management, including planting, pruning, canopy management, and harvesting.
  • Monitor vineyard health, soil conditions, and water management to optimize grape quality.
  • Implement sustainable viticultural practices to enhance grape quality and environmental sustainability.
  • Conduct pest and disease management through integrated pest control methods.
  • Analyze soil samples and apply fertilizers and nutrients as required.
  • Work closely with the winemaking team to coordinate harvest timing and grape selection.
  • Manage irrigation schedules and water usage efficiently.
  • Record and report data on vineyard performance, yield forecasts, and quality assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with farm workers to provide training and supervision.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Viticulture, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in vineyard management or viticulture.
  • Knowledge of modern viticulture techniques and sustainable farming practices.
  • Strong understanding of soil science, plant health, and pest management.
  • Ability to operate vineyard machinery and equipment safely.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis related to vineyard performance.
  • Experience working with premium wine grape varieties.
  • Capability to work long hours during peak seasons.
