Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

• Produce 2D drawings in accordance with design specifications for process and mechanical equipment and components, to aid in planning and production processes.
• Create block flow diagrams for projects.
• Utilize CAD programs to merge schematics and design data into precise 3D models.
• Review design documents and plans to verify dimensions and materials, collaborating with engineers to resolve any discrepancies.
• Design pumpstation layouts using established company standards.
• Provide technical assistance to Applications Engineering, Sales, Service, and customers as needed.
• Compile customer sign-off, general arrangements and manufacturing drawings.
• Continuous Development on company CAD library.
• Formulate standard operating procedures.
• Generate renderings for inclusion in product brochures and project tenders.

Qualifications:

• National diploma, BTech or BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Sound understanding of water supply industry is beneficial.
• Exceptional technical communication skills with engineers and manufacturing personnel.
• Keen attention to detail and strong mathematical abilities.
• Ability to adhere to standardized drawing procedures accurately.
• Capable of working within deadlines.
• Strong computer skills; must be proficient with Excel; Microsoft Office preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Collaborate with the US-based team.
• Effective technical problem resolution.
