Junior Line Manager: Quality Control

Job Description:

• Support the Quality Control Line Manager in maintaining consistent quality standards across the production process.
• Conduct quality tests, grading, and inspections on incoming pecan purchases, including grade, kernel percentage, moisture content, and waste.
• Monitor each stage of the processing process to ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.
• Identify quality deviations and provide timely feedback to production management and the Line Manager.
• Maintain accurate quality records, test results, grading records, and related documentation.
• Analyse production and quality data, including volumes, variances, trends, and deviations.
• Prepare regular quality and operational reports for management.
• Identify opportunities for quality improvement, waste reduction, and greater production efficiency.
• Support the implementation of corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with training staff on quality standards, procedures, cleaning requirements, and good production practices.
• Act as a link between Procurement, Production, Quality Control, and Management.
