Business Development Manager (Greenhouse)

Job Description:

  • Business Development & Sales:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for greenhouse projects in targeted markets.
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Conduct needs analysis and provide tailored greenhouse solutions to clients.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure feasibility and accurate costing.
    • Support clients through technical discussions and project specifications.
  • Marketing:
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote greenhouse solutions and brand visibility.
    • Coordinate digital campaigns, trade shows, and industry events to generate leads and strengthen market presence.
  • Market Intelligence:
    • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
    • Provide feedback to management for product and service improvements.
  • Financial & Contract Management:
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to maximize profitability while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline status.
  • Team Leadership & Management
    • Lead and mentor your team to ensure alignment with company objectives.
    • Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability
    • Coordinate cross-functional efforts between sales, marketing, and project teams to optimize efficiency and client satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years in greenhouse or agricultural project sales, with proven track record in high-value projects.
  • Experience in marketing and brand development within the agriculture sector is an advantage.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing a team
  • Strong understanding of greenhouse structures, irrigation systems, fertigation, and climate control technologies.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to design and execute marketing campaigns.
