Wholesale Sales Manager

Job Description:

  • A background in food processing, wholesale or production is highly recommended
  • Active sales of bulk products to the wholesale, restaurant and food industries
  • Building networks and customer relationships in the on-consumption products and food service market
  • Identify new opportunities and clients in national and regional markets
  • Plan and attend promotions, functions and trade shows
  • Report to the head of production
  • Follow up on administrative tasks, including route planning, inventory monitoring and reports

Qualifications:

  • A completed National Senior Certificate qualification
  • Relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous
  • At least 3–5 years’ experience in sales of bulk on-consumption products
  • Established contacts in the restaurant, hotel and food service industries
  • A professional, friendly, well-rounded and adaptable individual
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English
  • Must be willing to travel nationally (based in the Cape or on the farm)
  • Must have own transport and a valid driver’s licence
