Packhouse Manager

Job Description:

Manage and oversee all warehouse operations relating to macadamia nuts.
Coordinate the receipt, weighing, documentation, sampling, and quality control of incoming product.
Supervise the drying, storage, sorting, processing, and dispatch of macadamias.
Monitor and control inventory across storage facilities.
Optimize product flow between drying rooms, storage areas, sorting, and processing operations.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and risk management procedures.
Manage warehouse staff, including scheduling and shift planning.
Monitor operational performance and productivity.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management.

Qualifications:

Relevant tertiary qualification in Operations Management or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse, production, processing, or operations management.
Experience managing operations within a processing plant or warehouse environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent planning, organisational, and administrative abilities.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
Ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously and perform under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in the macadamia, nut, seed processing, or agricultural sector will be advantageous.
Experience with production planning, process monitoring, and reporting will be beneficial.
