Job Description:

• Maintenance and Calibration of Equipment
  • Ensures all instruments are validated before use
  • Ensures routine equipment calibration is performed within validity period (as per ISO Calibration Schedule)

• Maintenance of QC records/results
  • Ensures the reporting of accurate and reliable results
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of QC packs
  • Ensures QC records are maintained and kept up to date

• Quality Control tests
  • Performs analysis including chemical, micro biological with Bio trace on line
  • Performs and monitors volume control on line hourly
  • Performs packaging analysis on dry goods material

• Product non-conformance monitoring
  • Ensures that quality specifications are adhered to.
  • Informs all parties concerned when product defects occur
  • Investigates complaints and internal non-conformances and reports findings

• Quality Management Systems
  • Ensures activities meet with company requirements for quality control procedures.
  • Participates in reviewing of procedures for quality control processes
  • Places signature on QC packs as records for QMS
  • Participates in all requested quality assessments undertaken by the company
  • Assists and ensures availability during audits

• Health and Safety
  • Ensures compliance to company and statutory safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Quality Assurance Certificate or Diploma
• Minimum 5years as Quality controller in a similar environment.
• Previous laboratory experience an added advantage.
• General Microsoft Skills, Word and Excel, Analytical Skills, Accurate record keeping
