Logistics Coordinator

Job Description:

• Timeous booking of containers with various shipping lines
• Effective management of all relevant documentation
• Plan and execute loading plans for vessels, as well as loading instructions to Packhouses and delivery timeslots at Cold Stores
• Compare loading instructions with Cold Store load outs
• Arrange and manage local transport
• Arrange local transfer of stock between Cold Stores and for Airfreight
• Timeous and accurate capturing of all relevant information and data on the Navis system
• Manage deadlines and all required documentation
• Keep commercial marketers informed regarding finalized packing lists, as per vessel

Qualifications:

• Appropriate tertiary qualification
• Computer literate
• Preferably have experience in fruit export logistics
• Be a precise and timeous organizer and administrator
• Be attentive and focused on detail
• Will have the stamina to function effectively under pressure
• Realize that the position requires long, and sometimes awkward, working hours
• Be an above average team player
