Job Description:

• Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure adherence to internal financial policies.
• General Ledger & Reconciliations
  • Oversee the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate postings.
  • Perform bank, account, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
• Cash Flow & Treasury Management
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to optimize working capital.
  • Ensure timely processing of payments and collections.
• Financial Systems & Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in financial management and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Evolution advantageous).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
