Job Description:
- Manage full bookkeeping function up to balance sheet level.
- Prepare and finalise monthly management accounts.
- Ensure financial records are accurate and audit-ready.
- Oversee debtors and creditors bookkeeping functions.
- Process VAT reconciliations and submissions.
- Manage full payroll function, including statutory returns for employees.
- Handle HR and payroll administration using Pastel Payroll.
- Perform reconciliations, including overseas creditor accounts.
- Report directly to the Managing Director.
- Maintain overall financial control and reporting accuracy.
- Support financial compliance and month-end processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ bookkeeping/accounting experience.
- Strong ability to take books up to balance sheet level.
- Excellent knowledge of Sage Pastel (Version 19).
- Experience with Pastel Payroll.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience preparing monthly management accounts.
- Ability to ensure financials are audit-ready.
- Knowledge of VAT reconciliations and submissions.
- Knowledge of import VAT advantageous.
- Strong leadership and supervisory ability.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and report directly to senior management.
- Experience in payroll and statutory compliance functions.
