Senior Production Manager – Citrus

Job Description:

• Strategic planning, management, and execution of all citrus production activities.
• Management of all farming operations, including irrigation, fertilisation, crop protection, pruning, and harvest planning.
• Monitoring and optimisation of production, quality, and yields in line with best agricultural practices.
• Effective management, development, and motivation of production teams.
• Planning and control of budgets, resources, and input costs.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, labour, health, and safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborating with technical advisors and other management team members to achieve production objectives.
• Implementing new technologies and innovative farming practices to improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• A tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Horticulture, Crop Production, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5–10 years’ relevant experience in citrus production, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Excellent knowledge of modern citrus cultivation and farm management practices.
• Proven experience in staff management, budget control, and production planning.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy, with experience in agricultural and management software, will be advantageous.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• A passion for sustainable agriculture and continuous improvement.
